can I use any other crank pulley on my 92 GSR?? MIne broke trying to take it off and they want like 200 something at the dealer. Can I use like a b16 one or a ls crank pulley??? Please help

 

Depnds on the power steering pulley on the crank. If it's V-belt type, then you need to use a corresponding B16 crank pulley.

If it's a 4-rib pulley for the PS, then you can use any B-series pulley. You may need to get different length belts to accomodate differing pulley sizes for the AC, PS, and alternator.

 

I think the power steering one is a v type belt. and the other 2 are ribbed belts. is the power steering belt the one on the end?? towards the wheel? the smallest one??
if it is then yeah i believe its a v belt. can I use a pulley off a new civic si? like a 99 or 00. how do you feel about those lightened underdrive pulleys?? you recommend them or no? my engine is a b17a just incase I forgot to mention it

 

Yeah, the one on the end is the PS pulley.

I'm pretty sure you can't use the newer '99-'00 Civic Si B16A2's crank pulley.

Don't use aftermarket aluminum pulleys. Possible big headache.

Search the forums for information on "lightweight" or "solid" crank pulleys, and if you decide that you want one after reading the threads, Unorthodox Racing has 2nd gen. Integra pulleys in their Specials/For Sale section for a very good price.

You might wanna check to see if you can convert the PS pump to 4-rib, either by changing out the pulley or changing out the entire pump.

 

and if you don't have a ps pump?

 

Then it doesn't matter which crank pulley you use as along as you get the belt lengths to match.
