ok this is my stupid fault but i need some help here. I was racing a civic and was about to hit redline in 3rd so i went to bang 4th and hit 2nd instead by accident. My rpm hit when up so i hit the clutch as fast as I could and now my car is making like a putten sound when i idle and the rpm slowing move from 400 to 900 at idle. Other then that the car runs great. What happen?! please help hopefully i didn't bent a valve. thanks oh yea i have 2001 gsr

 

This actually happened to a friend of mine at the track this summer. Unfortunatly the result was 1-2 bent valves. The car was running just like you are saying.

Sorry but I would have that checked out quick, as it could lead to more problems.
