Here is a lil list of tires I might buy when I get my Rotas (this would be for auto-x, drag, general hard driving):
(205-50-15 @ tirerack)
Kumho 712- $58
Yok AVS ES100- $74
Kumho 711- $43
Kumho MX- $79
I'm leaning toward the 712's for their price. Any other good suggestions?

I have the es100s but in 195/50/15 and I don't know if the 20 dollar price hike is worth the 205 tire.
but, they are excellent tires.. very grippy for the price. nice firm sidewall give great steering response (albeit with a harsher ride - though not too bad).
for the avs es100s

for the avs es100s
I have some 712's on my crx right now. They aren't bad. I would reccomend them only if you are on a budget. I think the 711's are tailored more towards autox but I could be wrong. I would like to get a set of avs es100's or some toyo t1's.

I think the 711's are less of a "performance-oriented" tire, and more of a "regular everyday driving" type of tire...right? Here's what Tirerack.com has to say about it...
"The ECSTA 711 is the High Performance "summer" tire member of Kumho's ECSTA performance tire family. The ECSTA 711 was developed to meet the needs of many of today's sports car, coupe and sedan drivers by blending dry and wet road performance with value oriented pricing.
The Kumho ECSTA 711 features a high performance tread compound that is molded into a directional tread design. The tread design features stable independent shoulder and intermediate tread blocks to provide dry road handling while a continuous center rib enhances handling, reduces noise, and helps promote even tread wear. The ECSTA 711 radial's wide circumferential and lateral grooves team up to enhance wet traction and reduce the risk of hydroplaning.
Internally, the ECSTA 711's twin steel belts are reinforced by nylon to provide long term integrity under high speed conditions while a polyester cord body enhances ride quality."
712's are built for higher performance, but I've heard some great reviews on the 711's for the price.
Also, the ES100's seem to be a very popular choice.

Anyone know how the ES100's compare to azenis'? I would really like to get azenis' but am kind of turned off by the poor tread life and wet weather performance. I'll be doing auto-x weekends, but for the most part daily driving.
