Default Who rebuilt f22?

I was wondering how many people decided to build their f22's...i.e. rods, pistons, cam,ect...if you did list parts used and total cost if available. Im thinkin about building my block then turboing down the road.

If this is about parts, then Ferea makes valves, springs and retainers for the F22 (IM Marty_T he has great prices and he's a honda tech member). You can go to http://www.raceeng.com and find pistons and rods. As far as Cam shafts, I "THINK" you can only get a regrind. Run a search on this because there has been several discussions about F22 cams. Port polish and valve job at the machine shop and get to the dyno.

i highly suggest against getting any parts done or from gude performance. ive heard nothing but bad things about their quality and customer service.

just a friendly public service announcement from me

unless ur plannin on boostin crazy amounts, or ur engine is just in horrid shape, theres no need to rebuild ur f series. it can withhold a lot of PSI completely stock accordfreak, i believe, was runnin 14 PSI on a stock block daily driven no problems. he was making around 260 WHP and 260 WTQ and this was all stock block. the F series engine is known as one of the best made engines honda has ever made. take advantage of that and just see what it can do

EDIT:ha, just noticed accordfreak posted up above... nice numbers you used to have there man FI is def fun, couldnt image having it torn to shreads like that...

My f22 in my 92 DX was going out so I rebuilt it I spent about $4000 labor and all, I have a custom cam ground by web cams, ARIAS forged 11:1 compression pistons, new rods, full race port and polish, valve job, had the cylinders bored, 4-2-1 header, 2.5 inch pipe to big hayame exaust, with just a SRI. Hoping to go boneyard turbo soon but I need some help.

Yes, my mechanic told me the same thing. That F22 is built to last, and told me I can do at least 10psi boost on stock internals np. He rebuilt his 92 civic, dropped extra 15k under the hood, and race locally on the street and on track for money. So I assume he knows what he's claiming.

Taking his advice, I'm probably going with 8-10 psi boost on mine once I get all the parts in.

both are practically the same block, just different heads... so we are basically talking about both not to mention f22a1,4, and 6.... and the f23 blocks are just as healthy. but you will never find a honda engine that was better built stock from the factory...than a f22a6 out of a 93 accord SE

Umm sort of. Tuning is really recommended. But if you just want to 'go for it' and youre broke i guess just boosting the hell out of it's ok for a LITTLE WHILE...
