Lovely mountain roads...it's why I bought the car in the first place, ~25 miles, takes me ~40 minutes, I can make it in just over 30 minutes with summer tires and driving a little crazy, but I've mellowed out, so it's a rare occasion when I do that. There is actually a much milder road to take, but it's loaded with commuters, and traffic isn't all that good.

Yoshi...this one's for you, after seeing all of your in car pictures over the last couple of years...

I was driving pretty slow the entire commute, so I had plenty of time to take these pictures, I was being very careful.

Still stuck behind the 1 car on the road, as you can see I have a lot of traffic behind me Eventually there were 2 other cars behing me, which is considered a traffic jam on this road

I would drive home for lunch everyday just for the drive. My drive is only about 5 miles to work.

Cool post. My drive to work is sorta traffic-free also, but on back country roads passing junkyards and farm fields with no pretty mountains. 93 octane in Wisconsin is ~$1.87-1.93 right now.

no outside pics?

my work is 30miles away and too much of a risk to take a nice car like that to my work.

that's pretty sweet

I've got that for about a mile, then it's nothing but State Troopers and beaters trying to navigate through potholes on the DC beltway.

hehe...very few people would recognize the town by the few pictures that I put up. Guini's has some killer food, it's been a month since I've been there. You must have been the car that Iggy saw this weekend then, I was going to get a picture of Taylor's Refresher, but the camera didn't wanto to focus, and it wasn't safe enough to take a picture

I was going to take a picture of the road I take (the first mile of my driving is on a fun back country road).

at the end of a road is a deer someone whacked, and I saw three vultures, yes vultures chowing away at it. mmmm (some idiot brought them here a couple years ago and they've been multiplying since).

Actually it's spelled Giugni's.

Sweet pics Austin! I like how you give St. Helena a micro town look. I'll take some pics when I go home.

Wow, thats the bay area (is it considered in the bay area?) I'm not used to. I'm accustomed to suburbia hell and the concrete jungle.

You must live a peaceful life Austin with the looks of that environment.

That is indeed a nice drive in

My commute is 26 miles each way. Two-lane for the first stretch, wave to the cows, then about eight miles down "Garner Parkway." 45 zone, but people mix it up between 30 and 60

Then it's a short burst of speed on the interstate - usually about 75-80 until my exit. Unless someone's changing a tire, then we all have to stop and watch. Quick weave through a residential neighborhood and a duck into the back entrance.

Takes me 35 minutes under ideal conditions. Has taken as long as an hour 35 though

Damn, if it wasn't for the CA license plates on the other cars I'd have certainly thought you were somewhere in the woods of the southeast. That's certainly not the Cali I'm used to seeing.

Great pics anyway!
