Quiet my road noise!!!
A few years back I removed my rear seats in favor of a stereo (see sig link for pics). Not surprisingly, since that day the road noise has been rather loud. I can hear the water washing over my underbody when I go through puddles and every crack in the pavement is felt/heard. The entire false floored sub trunk and sides are lined with dynamat extreme. That part of the installation is going no where. The amp rack however can easily be taken out and there is some space underneath.
Where do you think most of my road noise is coming from and what is the best way to combat it? I always thought dynamat is designed to eliminate vibration, not so much road noise. Is there specialty Lexus-like foam I can buy and stuff places?
I searched and read on topics with "road noise" but I don't think anyone had a similar stereo setup to mine so I decided to post.
Don't tell me just to turn up the stereo - I know how to do that.
I appreciate all of your input.

I had similar noise problem in my GS-R.
I used B-quiet extreme and a layer of Volara foam on the back of the plastic panels and under the carpet. More b-quiet directly on the sheetmetal under the rear windows, trunk sides, trunk floor, under the rear seat, and on the doors.
Now the loudest source of noise is the motor itself. The back is very quiet.

you could put stuff some foam under your false floor and under your plastic panels, as far as it being partially stripped, your best bet would be something underneath. i have heard from a few people that spraying your undercarriage and wheel wells with some rubberized undercoating/bed liner spray really cuts down on the road noise. i plan on doing that to my wheel wells in a few weeks once it warms up a little.
well you removed the seat and replaced it with wood or whatever material is now there which isn't foam so it doesn't absorb sound.
you can go to any auto parts store like advanced auto parts, pep boys, or autozone and they should have stuff called rubberized undercoating. and duplicolor makes cans of spray in bedliner which are rubberized, they are about $7 a can. a guy that works at the advanced auto parts down the road from my house sprayed some of the bedliner in his wheel wells and he said he noticed a difference in the road noise.
do you have a lot of room under your false floor? because you could go to wal mart or any fabric store and buy a bag of polyfill and fill it in under the false floor. i put a little bit under mine.

Do not use undercoating on the inside of your car!!!
Many brands, especially the cheap ones do not fully dry. They stay a bit tacky and gooey - you don't want this on the inside of your car. They also stink!!

Dynamat trunk kit fo shizzle, ebay they are no more than $50 shipped. From the looks of your install weight isn't your prime concern... That Cadence spray that comes in an actual arisol can is suppose to be better than dynamat and cheaper too.
Your rear side panels in the back seat, spray adhesive some fome padding in there insted of dynamat. Trust me.

i know that their are places that still do underbody coating, it used to be a regular thing on all older cars. Just find such a place or coat the under body itself. That will take car of alot of the noise. Another option would be to find a Hood liner and that will take out some noise and vibration as well.
