Default First Gen B16a Question

i was wondering if you can wire a first gen b16a to use a P72 OBD1 ECU??

I have been told thats a bad idea because its a dual stage Vtech for a two stage GSR intake. And that A P30 is a far better choice.

but i can wire it to OBD1 i just have to use a OBD1 ECU correct?

No the P72 is an ODB1 but its all wrong for anything without the two stage intake manifold. Had a pro explain it to me that what you want if you go ODB1 and want to retain knock sensor is a P30 maps are closer to being right too than the P72. I looked into the same thing for my B16, decided to weld two O2 bungs into my downtubes of my 4-1 header. And keep my PR3 ECU, by the time you pay $200 for an odb1 dizzy, odb1 ecu, a 4 wire O2 sensor, and ODB0-ODB1 adapter cable , you are into some serious cash. The conversion is more than just the ECU.
