Sorry I dont know much about FI. Me and my friend were debating because he kept saying that there is a Blow Off Valve for automatic tranny cars. But I kept tellin him that there isnt. Can someone clear this up for me. (He has a Accord Coupe V6.) So are there turbo kits for autos too??

 

all turbos benifit from BOVs regardless of what car its on. its an option on turbo kits like hks,apex,greddy. but BOV's are highly reccomended.

 

i knew a guy that had and ls-vtec integ with a drag turbo..... automatic!!!!!!! what a wasted huh.... after tearing the transmission to shreds he finally converted to 5 speed..... but yeah he had a blow off valve on it...

 

Oh really.. So they do have a BOV for autos eh?? Hmm I stand corrected..
By the way... Did he shred his tranny cuz it was auto or cuz of the turbo??

both.. automatic transmissions aren't designed for that much power.

 

BOV's have absolutely nothing to do with the transmission.

 

yea... but it would be nice if they could handle the power... better yet... if only that all wheel drive integra in japan could handle the power!

(and yes, honda makes or made an awd integra... no one really mods it cuz to my knowledge the tranny, diff, rear-end, etc all suck... it cant hold the power)
