Rota Wheels
Hey Guys. I have a '90 Civic Hatckback. I want to get some Rota Slipstreams 15 x 6.5 Inches. I was wondering, what offset should I be getting for my car? Would it be +40mm, +42, or +45 offset?

And do they stick out from your CRX at all? Or do they look like the stock rim does?

They're also 14x5.5" or 14x6" instead of 15x6.5" like the Rota's. The skinnier overall wheel width is where the extra 5mm of outward room can come from.

1) Any of those offsets (40, 42, or 45) will work on a 6.5" wheel. Assuming you are using a typical 205-50-15 or 195-50-15 or 195-55-15 tire and aren't extremely lowered. The +40 would give you the most track width.
2) The one post about which offset sticks inwards/outwards is backwards. Given two wheels of the same width, a +40mm offset wheel will stick farther outboard than a +45. The offset is the distance from the wheel's hub mounting face to the imaginary centerline of the wheel.
3) 90-91 CRX-Si's came with +45mm offset 14x5" wheels.

Thank God somebody knows what's going on.
