Default Loctite on the block? Cleaning threads?

alright, i'm about to install my itr oil pump on my LS. the helms mentioned using thread locker(loc-tite) on the pump housing bolts, i'm assuming this means the bolts that actually hold the internal pieces together and NOT the bolts that attach it to the block. is this correct? i will be putting hondabond in the oil pump threads prior to install per the helms instructions.

is ther any use for loc-tite on the oil pump, water pump, oil screen, or oil pan?

i just removed the studs located on the bottom of the block and was wondering how to clean the threads? would brake cleaner be alright? and does anyone kno the torque spec on these studs because i didn't see it in the helms. i plan on using the 'double-nut' method to install the studs, will this provide an accurate torque measurement?

thanks for any info
