Is it true that the cf hatch is just a tad lighter than the stock? The biggest weight difference I suppose would be the glass. It looks okay, but I think its a waste of money.

a lot of people flame the cf hatch, but it seems to me this would offer more weight reduction vs a hood, no? definitely replacing the rear glass reduces weight even further.

The weight reduction is mostly found in replacing the rear window with a lighter alternative such as a FAL one.

Yeah, and keep in mind out cars are front heavy so if you take off too much weight in the rear the car won't be balanced evenly. Better take more of that weight off the front.

Well besides from being caps-lock retarded, you don't understand the fact that front wheel drive cars are front heavy; which means if you take that much weight off the back and not the front you have **** for balance. Balance is one of the things most important to a Type R, but I forgot it looks cool.

for those that are "performace concerned" - and are interested in such a hatch - couldn't you just find some additional weight to save from the front to compensate?

for those that are NOT "performance concerned" - and are interested in such a hatch - rock on with your bad selves.

To maintain balance you can add in the weight in a more strategical position. Most calsses require a minimum weight just for that reason.
