anyone run 9sec with ???
I am just curious if anyone ran mid 9sec with a regular single clutch disc mated with an extreme pressure plate combination with a regular OEM type flywheel. Any transmission problems??? Slipping an issue???
If this is a bad combination, then what combination would be bang for the buck. We are looking at 600whp... Tilton, but which one??? CM Carbon, but is it reliable??? RPS, but damn $3000.00+??? EXEDY, but how much???
if anyone has a used one or sells these at a good price please let me know. Looking for one for the drag car....
thx for the responses!!!

Well, this year i'm shooting for about 500whp and i'll be using a Type R flywheel mated to a ACT Maxx Extreme pressure plate with a 6-puck unsprung race disc. This is about as hardcore as they come using just a single disc. I'm thinking if your gonna be making 600+whp then your gonna need to go big or go home. You'll def. need the twin disc wether it be tilton, exedy, or CM. They go for about $1100-1200
Art: why don't you see what you can do for a clutch setup for us. if the price is right we can send money order or CC over the phone. I saw that you use the tilton clutches from your previous posts, so maybe you do have ties with these clutches. If I can remember you put one together with a stock lightened flywheel. That is the combination I am looking at. See what you can do for us!!!
THX..........
btw i heard the 6puck twin disc is harder to slip(slipping would be a good thing so we could prevent broken axles) vs. the multi carbon/carbon disc........and that the 6puck twins have a hard bite...so may cause tranny problems!!!
Any experiences...share them please!!!!

thats with a stock flywheel and a ACT double extreme pressure plate with a 6 puk unsprung disc. We also use their flywheels now too. Clutches more good for multiple races...but nothing compares to a good tilton or RPS twin disc if you have the money.

hey mike how is the pedal feel on the double extreme pressure plate. Could you imagine it on a daily driver? Ive driven on ur old clutchmaster stage 5 that you sold to stan how does it compare with that?

i run the tilton twin disc ceramic and although it takes a little to get used to i have no problems slipping it at the line and on the street. one of my freinds with 200 less hp goes through about 2-3 6 pucks a year (he races alot on big slicks, he makes about 350 ish)
