OK, I had this thing up and running with everything OK, but then redid the bottom end of the b18c motor and now the tach read in the VAFC monitor readout does not match the Autometer tach (nor the OEM dashboard tach which lags the Autometer by about 300 rpm) and seems to read generally only about 2/3 of the Autometer - for example the Autometer will read 6k rpm and the VAFC digital readout will be about 3800 or 4k.....

What gives, it seems that it could possibly be the black and/or brown ground wires which I will check hopefully tomorrow or else maybe the tach readout connection? or will the VAFC screw up like this??

 

dude (answering self) : check to see if you have it on setting for SIX cylinder instead of FOUR!!!!!yes, that was the answer
