OBD wiring question?!?!
Ok, here we go. I am putting an ls/vtec motor in my 96 civic hatch. I have any obd2 block and and obd1 head. I have to go to obd 1 ecu for hondata so... I need clips for the head to splice them into my obd 2 wiring harness. I dont have vtec either. does anyone know what obd1 clips i need. I already got some obd 1 dizzy clips, but not sure what else.

here is a pick i took of my head. Which ones do i need. Are these gonna be my only problems. What about the throttle body or im?

ok i have a 00 ex cp with a 92 b16a i use the obd 1 dist. i just had to extend the black/yellow wire to the other plug.
what you need is the vtec seliniod, vtec pressure clips. what distributor r u gonna use i would try to get a b16 si one. i see you got a gsr head. if u got a throttle body with it use it. if i was u i would get a skunk2 manifold too just so you dont have to wire the butterflies
you can use obd 1 or obd 2 plugs

I think that the dist plugs and injector plugs are the only ones that are OBD specific. The other sensors should plug right in, at least that has been my experience.
What secondary valves are you referring to?

Okay I'm just going to start over... If you have an OBDII dizzy then you'll need '94-95 Integra female dizzy connectors off an engine harness... As for the VTEC solenoid you'll need to find an actual female connector if you want it to plug straight on (you can hardwire it if you like but I like to use OE connectors), for the VTEC pressure sender you can use any round 2 pin connector (these are found on any engine harness for IAC, ECT, nonOBD-OBDI IAT, VTM, FANC, etc.)... If you want to wire up your IAB's you can but I would just leave them disconnected (they are as you mentioned both mechanical and electrical as they as sucked closed by manifold vacuum but then electronically triggered by the ECU to open up at a given rpm (P72 ECU for IAB = ~4400rpm)... The best way to rid yourself of them is to just run a SK2 IN manifold as others have mentioned but if you don't want to swap manifolds and you don't mind leaving them disconnected either pull out the entire IAB plate (what I do, and run shorter bolts) or pull off the vacuum line so that they never shut... If you're running a P72 (GSR) ECU I'm sure you'll find over time that you grow to like it less and less... I don't know how many times I've said it but I personally think it's the worst ECU Honda ever made (VTEC is too low and the mapping is horrible)... All of my friends and I know that whenever possible it's best to try and find a '96-99 JDM ITR (P73) comp as it's got a lot more aggressive mapping and the VTEC is perfect... It also doesn't look for CKFS or VTM so it saves you a little on wiring... I actually had to do everything that you're looking at doing for my friend a couple weeks ago... I had a butchered up HX harness which I rewired for my friend's JDM ITR which went into his '96 hatch (I too eliminated the CKFS, VTM, and rewired the dizzy connector with a single plug)... This is the mess I made but I'm extremely picky about wiring... Good Luck, well I gotta run, time for class...
