Well,...I've got a set of JDM Recaro's on the w/ for my R,...and theres a slight problem w/ the rails/brackets(LONG STORY).
I was told by "Green Bean" that the Stock itr seats brackets will bolt up to JDm Recaro's?????
I never heard that but he says they will/might??
Please lemme know! if you do know>

ps- i thought the whole reason when you get Recaros you hae to get rails,..other wise why would they sel them

Just so nobody thinks I am an idiot, Import Auto Salvage has like 3-4 sets of JDM ITR seats...They stated all you have to do is switch each inner seat rail so you can install the JDM drivers seat on the left and vice versa....They said the rails bolt on the same as the factory seat rails do...

We are trying to find the truth in the matter. So if you have some in your ride...Please speak up

I highly doubt it'll work.

That and the fact that the JDM Recaro rails have the seat belt clip integrated into the rail unlike the USDM seat which has it attatched to the seat itself.

I'm not so sure they would work either!! I wish they would......but I owned a set of Corbeau seats and those brackets we're similar w/ the seat belt hole for the brackett on the rail

....but dosen't Recaro's require Rails & Brackets or is that a package in its self?
and aren't ITR seats bolted/welded to the bracket? I have no clue how its gonna work though?

 

Heres somehting else I found...While searching e-bay I found a set of JDM ITR seats for the DC5, Now I know its for the RSX, but the seat rails look identical to my factory RSX-S seat rails...the solid bar across the front and the offset bolt holes. Remember the Recaros are made for Honda, not just mass produced different colored SRD's...

And no the "R" seats are not for my RSX either...Kendall...I ant thet retodded.

Recaros do require rails and brackets but most people that purchase these seats (non JDM), usually just go with a Wedge bracket and a generic Recaro slider.

I can't for the life of me remember how the stock seat/bracket combo looked like since I've had the JDM ITR seats. But the JDM ITR seats is using a "Honda" base and using a top bolt arrangement. As in I could just take off the SR3s and slap on side mounts on the rails, bolt it down and use a Recaro shell/bucket seat.

 

If thats the case would it be crazy to think/try and source a set of adapters/sliders from Recaro so you could use the JDM seats with your USDM seat rails???

I want a set of Wedge rails(adjustable height ones right?) but those are more expensive then Recaro Rails(And the "Guy" says he may still be able to get the JDM Rails)so i may not have to be stressin this,..either way this(looking for rails) I believe is Delaying the Delivery of my Recaro's,..but oh well.

I was quoted from a seller on here $290 for the Set* Brand New RECARO Rails!

I think we have found the answer....They do not work unless you have the Recaro brackets and such...

 

FYI - Wedge brackets suck. When used with sliders, they raise the seat height too much.

 

Too damned cold to go downstairs again to take another picture. And if you bought the seats from Leo, I'm sure it'll arrive in the condition he described.

Here is an older picture before I decided to clean up a tad. As you can tell, I didn't do a good job overall since I still need to clean up the seat rail area a bit. I'm lazy.

ditto. rockin' on JDM DC2 rails though and blingin' the CDM rears.

 

you need to get either the jdm recaro ones or tenzo r brackets. i got my jdm seats from jdm theory and they only had one backet at the time. so i took a shot in the dark and tried some tenzo brackets off of my brother's old seats. the mouting position is exactly the same. so i used the tenzo bracket for a week until i finally got my my other jdm one. the us one will not work. i looked into it when i swapped seats.

jdm dc2 recaros look a bit more comfy and tight fitting.

 

I am 100% sure they do not fit. I bought a set of Usdm ITR seat brackets on E-bay a couple of months ago and to my suprise they did not fit for my SRD's Recaro's! I currently have wedge brackets and they sit high like a ****. Anybody want to buy a set of Usdm Itr seat rails? Realy cheap! Just IM me
