Default Pro-kit?

On my 94 accord, would 17in rims with eibach-pro-kit be good? or would i have to get sportlines? I want a low look but i still want a decent ride.

I would personally say with 17's get the sportline, great ride and great drop. The pro kit is only a 1.3" drop and the sportline is a 1.8", should be about the same ride quality, right now I have the sportline and 15" wheels with 195/60/15 I have a 1-2 finger gap in front and no gap in back, 195/60/15 should be about the same size as 215/45/17 (if thats what you go with) but wider. Good luck and hope this helps.

Suspension is usually a good "first" step. Plan on doing shocks/struts with your springs.

Sportlines or a ProKit is a great choice, Eibach is the shizzle. Be sure to the shocks too, Koni really is that good. BTW, my Prokit and KYB GR-2s dropped me just short of 2" and a you will need a camber kit (F&R) w/ either unless you feel like tearing through tires

In eibachs website it says that the pro-kits are fine with oem shocks and you dont need anything. Unless there lying.

yeah, it's true about the pro-kit. I had my pro-kit for about 1 1/2 years and i'm still on my OEM structs/shocks and it still feels fine. I'll get new structs/shocks eventually.

quick question. Are sportlines progressive or linier? The reason I ask is because progressive are going to give the best ride quality due to the section of coils that have the lower spring rate.

On my 95 EX I had pro-kit and tokico. I loved the ride and handling. The drop was nice, was lower than stock and wasn't to low (I don't like the slammed look).

here you go man, this should give you an idea of how it will most likely sit on sportlines.

i have pics of my 92 accord on h&r sports and kyb gr-2's. the drop is about the same as the eibach sportlines. i have before and after pics of you want me to put them up. different accord i know, but you can sort of see what its gonna be like. 17" rims with 215/45/17 tires.

edit: heres a thread i posted pics. scroll about half way down, and you can see them.

been there done that. i have prokits right now with tokico hp. get some coilovers. this way u'll be able to adjust height and get stiffer or softer spring rates so u get what you want. some good coilover sleeves are ground control or skunk2. ground control comes with good soft rates. skunk on the other hand comes with some very stiff rates. u can also trade/buy new springs too. goodluck!!!

oh yea prokits with blue's:

This is my 94 EX. It's dropped with Pro-Kit and KYB AGX that I got off of coximport.com. Those wheels are 17" with 215/45-17 Kumhos.

Thats not even a really low drop, i thought it would have been more than that. So i guess if i would get the pro-kit would i even notice the drop.
But which would ride better on my stock struts? the pro-kit or sportlines?

there isnt a whole lot of difference there, but it really depends on what you are looking for in terms of ride height and handling and so on. eibachs are a good quality spring so you wont be disappointed either way

How does the handling feel? Is it improved and can you feel that the car sits lower?

Well I am sure the H&R springs have sport and race setups....I believe sport are 1.4" or 1.5" not 100% sure that would be really close to the prokit and the race setup is like 2.0 or something like that. If you plan on rolling stock wheels go with the sportlines, I did and here is a pic of mine on 15's with 195/60/15 yoko rubber,

Its about a 1-2 finger gap in front and 0-1 gap in back.

I looked at both websites for h&r and eibach and the h&r sport seem to be right in the middle of pro and sport, so which would be better?

tire wear always needs to be considered when lowering more than 1.5".

Along with new shocks, the handling is greatly improved. No more dipping while braking or if you feel like flooring it. Keep in mind that along with lower profile tires, you will feel more bumps and irregularities in the road- but in my opinion it's not that bad- especially with larger profile tires. Here's an older pic of my car, the one on top is w/ stock springs/shocks, and the bottom is with the ProKits and KYB AGX. In both pics the wheels are 17" with 215/40 tires.

Stock height w/ 215/40

Pro-Kits and KYB AGX w/ 215/40

Pro-Kits and KYB AGX w/ 215/45

I hope these pics can give you a general idea.
