It is attached to the valve cover of my b16 just behind the oil cap, and splits, one to the intake and other goes down.

What is this? I had a hella time trying to take it of, looks to be on there very snug.

 

I believe (correct me if im wrong) that hose is to let air out kinda like a vacuum so it can breathe. You can replace that hose with breather if u want.

 

are you sure you have a b16? sounds like a Ls.

 

This is the breather hose. It actually doesn't spilt off but is two different lines. One going from the breather on the valve cover back to your intake and the other is a water line coming from the intake manifold area to the throttle body.

And DON'T replace the hose with a breather. It's there for a reason, just messing up your PCV system and doing NO gains. Search for it if you want to know why.

 

one is the coolant from the TB to the intake manifold. The other is the pcv system. You can get rid of it if you want just get 2 new hoses to replace it with.
