Default HOW MUCH CAN I SPRAY?????????????

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I have a 91 Honda Civic DX Hatchback D15 16 valve 4spd manual tranny. all the car has is an intake. I have a dry nitrous kit that I am gonna install. What is the max safe amount of nitrous that I can spray with out causing damage. The car does burn a little oil. It's just for ***** and giggles. Eventualy I am gonna go SOHC VTEC on boost. So anybody's correct info would be greatly appreciated.
BTW my car has 120k miles.

Thanks for the space.

I was kidding. Anyone who asks how much nitrous should I run shouldn't run any.

Rods are a major weak point on this motor followed by the crank. With cast pistons if you ever do it or get detonation its history, but then they are cheap motors when you find them. Just keep in mind, its not a performance motor, and if its high milage you are on borrowed time if you spray. Which holds true on any engine, 75 shot on a motor that makes less than 90 hp to begin with? if that motor was fresh you would be begging for trouble. I would keep it less than 35-40 if keeping the motor in one piece maters at all to you.

I still have to wait for a few more pay checks prolly like 3 months. Then My SOHC VTEC motor will go to SFP and Frank will build my motor from the ground up stroke kit, pistons, rods, valve train, crower cam, Port polish, pretty much everythingthe will run on 18psi. So as you can see this is a work in progress so in the mean while I have nothing better to do to the car but spray it just for fun I am not looking to go race everyone and think I am all mighty fast. So I would appreciate it if some one would give me a staight opinion. I am thinking around a 50 shot.

Half the factory HP is the guideline I read somewhere here. 93/2=46.5

I'd say a 50 shot until your ready to blow it up

Just use a 55 shot, remember to get colder plugs as well to help. Anything bigger then a 55 your pushing it on a stock motor that already smokes. Remember Nitrous will eat away at your rings making the blow by even worse. If you do happen to go bigger you will need to get a adjustable cam gear to retard the timing, also a upgraded fuel pump.

what you should do is race some guy that has a crx with a SOHC VTEC In it that boosted already(what you want to do to yours). race him for pinks, an throw a 225 shop on your car, itll blow the **** up, but youll prob coast to the finish line in front of him, an you get his car, without doing any work. if you lose, you lost a chassis, so waht, get another one. make sure that when the passenger side kickplate falls out in the middle of your second stage of NOS firing, that you prob just blew the welds on the intake. go find a mad scientist to rip apart the block, then run from the cops. youll be fine

Your wrong yo forget the mad scientist just go and find Dom and I think hell hook you up with a 10sec Supra for sure. FREE YO!!! But you still might need the mad scientist because you need help to rebuild it from crap. And overnight JDM parts from the UPS man.

Put a T66 on a spoon motor. T66s work great with high compression.

Also make sure you finish those bottles of nawz EMPTY because then you are going to get followed by some biker dudes and they are going to start shooting at you. You dont want them to blow your car up. Do you now

I am sure that a t66 will work great on high compression 14.5.1 motor that's like crazy mad fresh JDMish yO! I asked this question cause I am new to single cams and this is my first single cam project. I chose this car cause I love the 91 JDM SIR and that is the conversion that I am almost complete with. I have always owned a DSM, and a 98 ek with a JDM B20Vtec 218 whp all motor which I blew and sold it as is and, a 97 GST which I had for years I sold her 6 months ago for 14,800 she was a 523 whp monster and I couldn't daily drive her anymore. So if your joking thats great but if your serious screw you! Thanks for the helpful info. I installed the kit already with a 50 hp shot, and ran my boys 4dr automatic 93 Accord with a AT H22 tranny on a 70 hp shot and sadly but true I whored him. BTW I did the cat back leading to an HKS Hyper the same day I installed the kit which was yesterday. The car is running pretty good I was surprized.

I wouldnt spray nitrous on the dx setup.. It only has 2 injectors and their not big enough to keep up with the juice.. I did it in my old motor when I had the dpfi on my crx.. Lasted about 2 days..
