How do i take off my side moldings?
I want to know the proper way of pulling off side moldings because this week im going to shave it whole. For the shaving im going to get 20 gauge sheet metal and tack weld it on then use Fiberglass (i heard bondo was crap for this stuff) and then sand smooth.
So can anyone help me out with taking off the moldings? I dont want to pull them and break something. The car is a 93 DX coupe.

you wont break anything if you just tear them off except the plastic pieces that hold them on. and you are not going to be using them anyway but the easiest way is to go from in side the door, that means you are going to have to take the door panel off and everything then, for the one on the fender you have to take your splash guard off.

I heard that there is a screw somewhere in the front and the rear holding them in, is that true?

Those look good but i think this:

Looks alot cleaner.
*Borrowed from NewMan, if you want it down let me know and ill put it down.
So i should just rip them right off then, and can anyone tell me if theres any screws holding them in or not before i start to pull, thanks

There are no screws..just a bunch of clips you're not going to be reusing. Pull away!!
EDIT: You have to pull pretty damn hard to get them off though, but since you won't be using your mouldings anymore **** it. If you want to sell them be careful not to bend them too much or break them.
