Door hinge messed up (I searched)
OK I was drivin my friend around on a windy day. He opened the door and let it go.
the wind bent the door/hinge or something so that it doesn't seal correctly. it seems to be not closing far enough at the top. how do you think i could go about fixing it.
should i just try to twist it and make the top go in?
its winter time and it feels like the window is cracked open all the time
help is appreciated.

You can loosen the door latch screws and move the latch in a little, that will close the door a little tighter.Other than that,I don't know.Anyone else?
I did that to a Dodge. Take a good look at where the hinges mount to the lower A-pillar of the car. On that Hodge, the hinges were perfect, but I bent the metal of the A-pillar. I never fixed it... too much work for a POS car. If I needed to fix it, the door would have had to have come off and probably the front fender as well. Then the metal of the A-pillar would have had to have been pulled out some how.
Maybe your door hinges bent and you got "lucky". Just et some new ones and put them on. There's only 4 screws and one pin (for the thing that keeps the door open) holding the door on. You "should" remove the front fender first, but you can do it without if you are super carefull or if you don't care about your paint too much. It will be another 4 screws to get the hinges off the door.
HTH.

You probably bent the hinges. I just did that backing out of my driveway. I was moving my car and was backing down the driveway. When I hit the end I had a big pile of ice there which grabbed the bottom of the door and yanked it open. I opened so far that it bent the hinges out and crushed the driver side fender.
I had DX hinges in my garage and used those but the door doesn't close correctly. I found out that even though they look the same, the hinges vary model to model. They are about 30 bucks from Honda. Special Order.
