Default D series wiring harness into b16

I bought the JDM b16 and the wiring harness is backwards so i was told to take the old wiring harness and put it on the new engine but i have to put some o2 sensor or something directly to the ECU anyways i havent a clue what they are talking about with that sensor will someone please explain the steps.,

and another sense its going into a del sol they sent me the wrong shift linkage its too short so can i just weld it and make it longer would that work?

you'll have to run the knock sensor. run the wire straight to the ecu pinout. if you bought a swap it should already be there. d-series didnt come with a knock sensor. it's pretty simple. it's on the back of the motor i believe. and your O2 sensor should be fine if it's a 4-wire.

They may be talking about VTEC. You have those wires straight to the ecu.

You shouldnt weld your shift linkage, they always break and you will be left on the side of the road somewhere. Buy the right ones, dont be cheap

is correct. The o2 sensor will be fine, you need to run a single wire from the ecu to the knock sensor. Everything else should be plug and play. If the engine you had didn't use vtec, then that wire will be able to be extended from the shock tower.
