Default Poll: should we move all FS threads into one monthly post?

member diewX3 IM'd me with the suggestion what do you guys think?

basically a new FS thread can be created for each calendar month and all FS posts will be made in there.

There has been a lot of stuff for sale lately haven't we...I don't mind them but if it will make things neater then I am all for it.

Keep 'em all in one place.

And please don't post replies to classifieds - "Hey, I found a cheaper price at **** shop."

yeah i think we can try the monthly classified thread idea. if it gets too hard to maintain then all FS stuff will be punted to the classified forums, we're doing this cause this is a good small group of people so i hope it doesnt get abused.

thanks

Yeah but that's up to the person buying to research themselves. I dont know maybe it's because I sell more than I buy lol

i am thinking it will be ok for people to respond to the ads in the thread, if the have questions that other people would want to ask. for actually buying etc, shoudl be handled via email / IM...

i am already starting to have concerns that this is going to require more hands-on maintenance than what should be necessary.

Sounds like a good idea. Just set up some of the rules you've mentioned. Basically limiting the responses to the ads to PM/email to keep everything neat. If you need a hand keeping up w/ it...

To tell the truth, I would not look at one big FS thread and I think other people may not either. I do not mind the FS threads because (even now with more of them) the forum is slow enough that you do not have people bumping them every four hours and they kinda die in a few weeks.

Remember, buyers are lazy (well, for the most part)

I vote yes, that way if your looking for a bike you know where to look and can get an idea of the prices and so forth...

Individual threads don't really bother me . . . I probably wouldn't look at one big thread either . . . Alot of times when I buy something, its because I just happend to come across it, not because I was out looking for it . . .

thats true...and even w/ the for sale threads its not like there is that much going on in this forum anyways.

I'd say if its a bitch to keep up with an extra forum for classifieds, just dont worry about it.

I think a monthly thread would be cleaner but I wish we had more people selling 2 stroke stuff. I need an engine
