Default SOHC ????'S

Will A 1.5L VX Block be good for the non vtec head from like a 1.5L CX or DX? What kind of modifications need to be made. Why I ask I have a friend that jacked up her 1.5L non vtec engine and I found a VX motor comlete for cheap and want to put it in her car and not have to make modifications to it, so I was thinking of putting the Head off her car on the VX block??? Any help is great. Thanks

the head bolts on no issues. if the motor you found is complete why dont you use it as is as save yourself some work and her some money that would be used for gaskets.

I would just use it but dont want to have to wire it for vtec since it is a 95 model DX.

you can use it and not wire up vtec, kinda like a four channel radio and you only have two speakers.

Honistly bro, don't waste your time. Buy a B18B of a LS integra, you can get a complete swap OBD2 with low miles for a tad under $1000. Or even a D16Y8 for ~$700.

wouldn't he have to put an oil orifice thing in the hole in the top of the block? you know, the thing that you remove to put a vtec head on a non-vtec block?

since this is the opposite, i'd think you'd have to reverse everything.
