boost gauge sits a little above 0 when not hooked up?

Default boost gauge sits a little above 0 when not hooked up?

i have a autometer phantom boost gauge that i bought used. i havent installed it yet but now, not hooked up, the needle sits a little above the 0 box. does this mean it is off? everyone that i have seen uninstalled sits flat in the 0 box.

Probably got bounced around during shipping. You can pop the cover off and move the needle back...

it was from someone local, so maybe he just dropped it or something.

Well, install that damn thing and find out how much you are boosting with accordance to your wastegate. I would rely on that more than jus the needle sitting above 0
