Default 5 lug conversion

Can anyone help me or tell me how expensive it is going to be to do a 5lug conversion on my 95 gs-r? I am looking into doing it so I can get the rims I want..

Yeah is there something wrong with that? from what I can tell they don't make the OZ Racing Anteres rims in 4lug so I guess I will do 5lug or something as soon as I figure out what all I am going to need.. not really to worried about labor though plenty of family friends that are mechanics and I work at a car dealership with a performance shop in it.. so free dyno runs for me and stuff yay!

no offense, dood. I just don`t see the point in switching to 5 lug just to run a specific rim.

good luck!

Thanks for the post jeff652.. well lemme see I paid $9000 for my 95 gsr with leather interior and 62,000 miles if I wanted a type-r I would be looking at spending another $6000 lol or so.. why not just do a conversion and make my gs-r whoop some type-r booty

haha not really.. you can have a underpowered car and still beat someone with a faster one but I am trying to figure out what I am going to do.. I want the rims I need to still contact OZ Racing.. I am not sure how long I am going to keep my GS-R or my VR6 GTi.. I am waiting for the new RX8's to come out so I can test drive one to see if that is what I want to do if so.. I will trade in mt vw and acura and get one of those I am anxious to see if they put a turbo on those 1.3L's they say they are expecting 250 to 270 HP from the N/A 1.3L so a turbo would but it at around 340 HP.. assuming they can get 70HP from a turbo what do you guys think?

5 lugs will add no performance benefits. Why not just pick out a different set of rims and use the money saved for performance mods?

5 lug hubs and wheels will be a tad bit stiffer and stronger. That's why they put them on the Type R, and you see them on most performace or sports cars.
The performance increase is not worth it IMHO. The $ are better spent elsewhere, unless you got is coming out your a$$.

It might be an expensive upgrade but he can turn around and sell what he takes off to a civic owner looking for an upgrade.
is it necessary?
does it look good?
