no, it won't work....If you want to run a p28, the only way is to have it chipped and you still need a OBDII to OBDI conversion harness.

i would lean toward not using the p28 unless your gonna chip it, can the vafc change revlimit? because the p28 is no where near the redline a ITR would be happy at. i'm running a chipped p28 in my gsr with ITR cams/valvesprings/skunk2 manifold/jdm dc 4-1 2.5" collector header/tanabe cat back/cold air, instant message IH8RICERZ , he's ALL ABOUT p28's, he will aim you in the right direction.

i raced a gsr with a vafc, and rode in it, vtec was almost not even noticeable, and in my car, it has broke traction sometimes when 1st gear vtec kicks in..

the car cranks but won't start up, but the car starts fine with the stock ECU
I've made sure the harness is plugged correctly

Do the chipped p28s have any problems running the o2 voltage? In other words, do they run closed loop with the stoich from the o2 sensor? I have had problems with my a/f (apex a/f meter) readings while running a chipped p28. The problem is resolved after swapping out the p28 for a non-chipped p28.

I'm in the market for another chipped p28 but have fears of my a/f ratio not showing up correctly on my meter.

Thanks.
