RSX spare-tire subwoofer questions
A few questions for you RSX owners out there about the Bose spare-tire sub:
-What are the dimensions? (diameter and depth)
-Diameter of the woofer itself?
-RMS rating of the sub?
-Wiring situation (how many wires and what are they for)?
I ask because I'm considering picking one up cheap for my DC2 (Integra coupe). I'm most concerned on how to hook it up to my Pioneer DEH3300 head unit. If anyone could shed some light on this, I'd appreciate it. Thanks in advance.

i believe it's called a richbass woofer. to me it isn't a subwoofer. it's a 5 1/4" driver in a ported enclosure which was designed for space efficiency and not acoustic performance. it's powered by a 100 watt amp which looks like it puts out 20 watts. i recall there are four wires leading to the amp. black, green, and white. i don't remember which was power and remote. the s2000 owners seem to like bose woofer for rear fill but i honestly think you're wasting your time with this if your looking for a subwoofer. i opted to run an 8" image dynamics woofer in a .3 cu. ft. sealed enclosure powered by a soundstream angina. quality sound while remaining space and cost effective.
i would buy a 8 inch sub. i worked over the summer at a car audio shop. i was pretty big into systems and big rims, but then i realized speed was more fun. i still have an explorer with a system that is around 155 dB's. when i listen to the sub in my type s it just doesn't meet the need of the music. an 8 would probably weigh the same but sound A WHOLE LOT BETTER. but then again i went from two solobaric 15s to one 5.25 so i guess im not the person to ask about bass. WHY DO YOU NEED BASS WHEN YOU HAVE VTEC THOUGH........
