screwing fitting into oil pressure sensor probs (tapping block)
i have the oil pressure sensor out and i am at the point of screwing the fitting in for my oil feed line... problem is i get about two turns on it and it gets tough to go in. i am sure i could force it in but i dont want to risk the chance of stripping it.
question is, why is it going in so hard? is there crud in there? i know its the right fitting bc the person i got it from had it on his b16 and everything was fine.

so what you are saying is that the kid i got it from was a moron and didnt know what he was doing when installing his turbo?
so basically a npt and bspt fitting look the same, but size wise, they are different?

Pretty much everyone uses the NPT fittings anyways. It will be hard to turn but it does seal. When I had a turbo setup I used the NPT fitting.
It sort of damages the block to use the NPT fitting, but if you are careful it will be OK. Make sure to use teflon tape.
BSPT is 28tpi rather than 27tpi IIRC.

Well, it will be hard to find a brass tee with BSPT threading on it.
You can find a 1/8" NPT->1/8" BSPT thread adapter.
It's probably going to be a hassle to locate one. The NPT fitting works fine if you are careful.

Well, it works just fine. The ones for $4 tend to break.
