Default 3 or 4point mount system?

Im running a 4pt mounting system with my b swap.

Im just curious how much of an advantage im gaining over thoese with 3pt mounting systems.

It all depends on what mount kit you use.

You only really need 3. The reason for 4 is because stock mounts are really soft, if you look at the front mount closely it was designed as a limit for motor movement. For stiffer mounts you don't need to worry because there is significantly less motor movement. I don't see anything really gained with the extra mount unless your making some very serious power and are pulling some mid/low 60fts. Are these mounts really stiff? they are probably giving you alot of cabin noise/vibration?

i hear ya. The engine wasnt even being held up by the one on the x-member, when i took of the x member it wasnt supporting the engine at all. I guess like you said, just for engine movement.

I put alot of thought into mounts for my car - as you can imagine.

.. oh, and Hamilton pisses me off... i got lost there the other day!

Haha.. Yup... man, made 1 wrong turn and then i started going up a one way street up a moutain!! wtf? haha..

You were going up a access sorta neer where were building our house. The access is super steep and 1 way, 2 lanes wide. If its the one im thinking of. Id love to try going down that on a luge or bike or something lol.
