Default Steps to Adjusting Cam Gears, OBDII

do i have to mess with the distributor before i can adjust the cam gears, and if so, can i adjust the exaust cam without having to do anything with the distributor, because the distributor is on the intake cam, not exaust. Please let me know. thanks

I didn't touch the distributor at all when I got my gears adjusted.

If you're nervous just check the timing when you're done.

WHen you adjust the intake cam on the DOHC or make any adjustments on a SOHC, you MUST reset the ignition timing back to what it was prior to the cam change.

1 degree change at the cam is 2 degree change at the crank.
