help with a d16a6 motor..
so my friends got a 91 ex 4 door.. he was floorin when it was cold and he slowed down and the car started boggin and died.. it will start and idle fine, but smoke and it wont rev past 1500rpm.. it climbs really slow to 1500 rpm and sounds like it's redlining.. also when it revs to 1500 and you let go of the gas it makes a blow off valve type sound like there something stuck inside his head.. sounds like crap.. i checked timing.. it had skipped a tooth.. after i fixed that it started better and the climb to 1500 rpm was smoother, but it still did the same thing.. what can be the problem?

yep... thas what i thought it was.. i wasnt sure cuz ive never experience bent valves before.. just melted pistons and cracked sleeves
