I have a 96 gsr and I'm about ready to throw down the money for rebuild and fmax kit. From those who have had rebuilds done, what brand pistons, rods, rings, bearings etc do you suggest and should I keep the compression, bore etc stock or atler. And also while I'm here, since 99' my engine light has been on and the codes being thrown out have been indicating that each cylinder is misifing. Since then multiple mechanics and even Acura looked at her and each both did the same things and never took care of the problem. The wires, distribuotor, cap, ecu were replaced and the timing was checked. The last time I took it to Acura they said I needed a new motor, I forget what psi each cylinder was at but it was pretty off. I never got it fixed because she runs fine, just idles and sounds rough. Any of you have any ideas what could be the gremlin and should my rebuild take care of the problem?
