Default Do you turbo guys upgrade your valvetrain?

I'm preparing for a turbo application in the future and want to know if it is worth my time and money to upgrade my valvetrain to handle higher revs?

It's going to be a GSR turbo.

If you do recommend upgrading, what valve springs and retainers?

Thanks for any help...

i think that would be dependent on your turbo - when it tops off, and somewhat your cam's powerband.

depends on where your turbo stops making power

im not sure what turbo comes with the drag. but i got a t3/to4e and power will start to fall before 8k. so if you getting a turbo like that, i woulnt upgrade valvetrian.

I would like to upgrade the valvetrain in my head cause I only rev to 6250 max, but the longer f series rod/ stroke ratio is gonna keep me below 7200 I think anyways.
