Any leads are extremely appreciated

u can get energy suspension replacements if they dont offer them for the 88 crx get em for the ITR they are the same.... its a BIATCH to replace em just so u know but on the bright side they solve alot of problems if urs are broken....there was a post a while back with directions.....but just remember when ur doin this its worth the hassle
I remember reading that thread, I was subscribed but for some reason I stopped getting e-mails from HT for a long time and lost track of the posts. Thanks
http://www.summitracing.com or http://www.suspension.com and order the master poly kit. all the bushings are easy to replace and dont need a press. Use a little propane torch and burn them out. Just have a hose or bucket of water ready.

And why is it that no one wants to do them that way?

Yes they are available for 88's. The trailing arm is the same. The rear lower arm is not. ES makes 88 rear lower arm bushings. You just have to know how to read nad pay attention to what is on their site.

it spells it out for you why the poly ones are bad , and just an FYI , the master kit doesnt come with the TA bushings anyway...

Which side do you need? I have a spare driver's side trailing arm off my 88 crx si great condition I pulled it to swap to newer civic trailing arms. PM me if your interested....
Ok I read some valid points.... I would like to see for myself and then I will go from there.... But for now they seem to be fine....

how lame............poly bushings are awesome.....i run them in my teg and my prostreet truck. i would never waste my time with anything else if your going through the trouble to take them out and replace them. make sure you run the black bushings and not the color ones do to the fact the black ones are impregnated with graphite and wont squeek as much.

you should read the post , the solid poly TA bushings cause suspension bind , they dont allow movement on both axis resulting in a very unpredictable car , under bind your springs go infinite and cause snap oversteer , I doubt that anyone wants that.

look at the trailing arm , common sense will tell you it needs to move on two planes.
something a completely solid bushing in that location will not allow.

they arent that solid.......the poly bushings under load do move some.....the durometer of the kit is softer than you think.....i installed the entire kit into my 89 teg and it works great.........some people on here are saying they like them and others they dont.......i can picture what your saying but the rear will still have travel in the other plane. too much hear say IMO
