Apexi Power FC base map question
Apexi Power FC base map question 9:55 AM 2/12/2004 Reply Edit

Guys,
Its been a lonnngggg while that I have not posted on these forums. That said, a friend of mine asked me to post this issue for him.
He bought a Power FC tuned for the B16B (Civic Type R) engine and since then he has changed to a B18C spec R (Integra Type R engine) and upgraded the engine using 310cc injectors, Toda spec c cams, larger throttle body (spoon 70mm) and Spoon intake, to name a few of the goodies. The vehicle also has the Apexi N1 exhaust straight from Japan and designed specifically for the Civic Type R.
The question is whether the Power FC base map (civic type r) will be a sufficient starting point for tuning? Does anyone know if the Power FC base map for the B18C is different to that of the B16B? Can anyone suggest what would be a good place to start with respect to tuning this potential NA monster?
Any and all suggestions will be welcome.

after you offset the injector table for the larger injectors and make the proper changes to allow the car to idle,
it will run perfectly. <-- after dyno tuned

Where are you located? You might be able to find someone with a Datalogit that will load a B18C map and change the injector tables for you.
Trey joining the power FC yahoogroups list and asking there.
