How Many Ef Guys Actually Race?
Ive been thinking about dumping some money into my motor but havent decided yet.
I orderred a nitrous kit with purge/heater/gauge and I was wonderring if you guys actually race a lot and there will be the need for me to even keep the nitrous.
I live in a small town were Ive never seen a race myself but Im always inside at houses during the night, never driving so Im not exposed I guess.
Just wanna know if its worth it to keep the stuff (very illegal in canada)
or to sell it and maybe get a cam or something and use the rest of the money for other things, like rims

if you only want to go fast sometimes. and run out of go fast juice then go ahead. beware because it will make your car a rice icon. wow you got NAWZZZ was your car in the fast and furious? if you go that route i recommend a nice big super soacker(sp?) full of soy sauce to fight off that rice. a nice cam will bring your engine to life. but it will probably be slower than the nitrous. depends what you want
If you only care about looks then just go for looks. If you're a performance enthusiast then start working on the engine.
Whether or not you need the nitrous isn't really dictated by our driving habits. It should be based on yours. Nitrous is a cheap way for some easy power but you only have the power when you're spraying so I would only get nitrous to add to other performance parts (built engine/turbo/supercharger). I chose the turbocharged route though.
If you're not going to a track to race I'd say just start working on your wheels and suspension for now. When you decide you realy want to race then it's time for a turbo

Thats kind of what i was thinking like.
Im never going to the track, Id only be racing on the streets so I thought I
should sell this kit for probably more than what I paid since I got it cheap and
I can get a set of wheel and tires with the money + my t4. And then come
summer when I go to work whereever I can make the 2000 or so it would cost to
piece together a nice turbo setup for my single cam zc.
Think I might actually sell it though, unless I hear of some secret races going on
or an abundance of highway runs

You shouldn't race on the street anyways, its how you get people killed,.......so instead of worrying about your Nauzzz maybee you should sell your car and buy a nice Volvo so at least you don't kill yourself and your passengers when you act like a moron and street race......tool....

they also have a reputation for safety....not that other cars aren't safe....its just a reputation, I know, some of those intercooled ones wouldn't be that bad

Toronto, don't take it personally, its just that I think street racing is a waste of time and money, its just my opinion, if thats your thing thats cool, please ignor my rant, I go off like that sometimes....my opinion, why bother racing on the street when you can't really go all the way (obsticles, like people, and other cars) save it for the track where its safer and in the end, more fun....again just my 0.02 cents.....
