Default Clutch damper removal question

I am removing the power steering from my 92 accord and was wondering
if I can remove the clutch damper also? I was planning on just pluging
the four holes in the steering rack. Any input?

Thanks in advance,

Mit

sure you can remove but with stock parts the clutch line will not bolt together anymore.

Is it ok to just remove the ps lines from the damper and leave
it in place? Any negatives? Will the clutch just "feel" different?

what are you talking about PS lines for?
im not sure you know exactly what you are looking at to be honest....
the clutch damper is a part of the clutch system, if there are power steering lines you are not looking at clutch damper.

Unless I have my head completely up my ***, the damper uses the power steering
fluid as the "damper". There are lines that run from the rack to the damper and back to the ps fluid reservior.

Lines 27 and 10 on the following pict:

those are going to the vehicle speed sensor.
the clutch camper is full of brake fluid like the rest of the clutch system. it is mounted to oteh fram rail directly below the plugs connecting the engine to chassis harness.

You hear that sucking noise? That is me pulling my head out of my ***!!

That makes much more sense. I never really paid attention to where the
lines went, I just thought they went to the clutch damper. I am so retarded!

More sleep = less stupid questions on honda tech!!

Back to the strip down!!

Mit

ps... so can I remove the lines and plug the holes on the vss safely?
Also, I went to Oak Ridge way back in the day! Thanks for answering
my questions, I appreciate it.

you could safelylop those 2lines coming off thte power steering w/o an issue. they are there for the speed sensitive part of the ps system.

hoenstly jsut seeing thte clutch damper is a pain in the butt, cause its usually crusted with grease and crap.

no problem...i guess back in teh day you wenre too far from where i live now then.
