Default SFWD guy, what exhaust are you running?

Trying to get the car legal to run the Sport fwd class and I need to get an exhaust on the car. Right now I am running a 3"downpipe to a 3' flex to a 3" resonator and then ending right before the rear wheels with a turn down. I'm pretty sure this will not pass tech. Have been considering the 3" Thermal.

I have searched Drag racing and the Forced induction forums and did not find anything.

I could give a rats *** on looks and appreance. I need to pass tech and not hinder performance MUCH. And remember, this is for a 350-400whp 93 Civic Hatch.

Come run the NDRA, we do not require an exhaust system in that class

For the higher boost cars, 3in right off the turbine housing, then 4in just as soon as we can make it fit (normally 90º off the housing)... Lane's stock sleeved B18C/EJ6 making 375whp runs a straight 3in downpipe and exhaust... He's actually faster and more consistent with it on (kinda odd) but 11.50's in a 2600lbs car aren't bad for 12lbs... I'm sure you'll be fine with your 3in too...

and then???

Sorry, had to do that. But what about muffler? Would not have a problem running 4" exhaust, but it would suck to cork it up at the muffler. Would'nt it kinda defeat the purpose of the 4"?

Yea it's cool... My bad because I should have finished... Anyways we just run a muffler made for a Supra on Brian's car (trust me it's almost too BIG) and on Duc's it does go back to 3in for a second only because we can't weld to the titanium canister... If it'll help you any I'm heading back home (from down at school) today so I'll stop by the shop and take some pics... Good Luck
