Lap around Road Atlanta video
Here is a clip from a recent track day I did at Road Atlanta with the Type R. The car is stock and riding on 205s kumho v700s. The clip is of one full lap minus the back straight. It starts at turn 10 and finishes after turn 7. A friend (also a honda tech-member) was riding along and we were trying to figure out if using 2nd gear for 10a and 10b helps at all. It would have helped even more if kept it all the way to redline, but as I always do in all track events I try to short-shift at 8.0K rpm to be easier on the engine. After all, this is not a race...

The second clip is of one of my runs from the last autox in Atlanta. It's far from a mistake-free run! But it's the only time I had my friend's digital camera in the car to take videos.

I have a few other videos with which I’ll replace these soon since I have very limited web space right now. Hope you guys like them!

track looks fun. seems a bit narrow tho. i shall hit the east coast tracks someday... i know what you mean about babying it for regular lapping. i double clutch on upshifts and short shifts at 8k road racing especially if it's a warm day. tiny delsol radiator and no oil cooler = better play it safe than sorry. gsr rad upgrade is next.
Professional, this was at a track event earlier not at the Petit Le Mans. I don't think I'll be making the Nov track day though..
SMSP, sorry nobody that was there that I know of that took any times. It was a fun day especially for the nine people who I gave rides to, so I always had a passenger onboard. If I was going for time, loosing the passenger and taking it to red line would help. In case it's of interest I ran a 1:45.4 in the ITA CRX last july and I'm sure the cooler temps at the upcoming arrc should drop that time. I expect the type r to be at least a couple of seconds behind that.

For comparasion, the BMW GTR from the Petit LeMans was turning a 1:24 lap. And it won. Nice videos!!! I wish I could post mine from the May track day.
