Default Loudness of Random or Carsound

Hey, I just want to make sure...does an aftermarket catalytic converter sound a bit louder, or sound the same. Deeper, etc.

Thanks in advance.

Hard to tell since I put the Carsound in the same time as my header and exhaust...but I would say no, it doesn't sound noticebly different. Not raspy or buzzy or anything.

YES, Mike at IPS racing carries them and I will vouch for his professionalism.

As for noise, I do notice a little more sound, "notice I say sound cause almost everything I hear from my R is a pleasing sound." Now this sound is not deep toned but rather higher pitched and a little Raspy almost like a little tinny sound mixed with the wooshing of the exhaust gasses passing though my SS header and into and through the cat. Nothing bad just different.

But couple the cat to a nice JDM aftermarket header and you'll feel the difference and almost not notice your new sounds, Heh Heh Heh...

But seriously, call Mike I'm sure he can help you. And good luck,

A.

The wooshing sounds can sometimes be contributed to the mis match of the cat outlet and the B pipe inlet. I sell the cats and adapters.
