What OEM swaybar options for EF9 Civic or CRX , (E.G other models)
what other models swaybars bolt up to the EF8 EF9 chassis to provide a cheap rear swaybar option. That are better than the OEM Si Bars but far cheaper than aftermarket ones.
I think the integra bars fit from certain modles years but not sure which, Not sure if EG bars fit or not. Tried a search but found nothing. But remember threads on the subject.
I can see that the mounting bracket holes are there, but there is no nut welded to the inside of the unibody.
Can I just drill upwards and put a nut on the other side (ie the inside of the car?)
Will the bolt holes line up with a flat section of the interior?
How do people do this; I'm sure I'm not the first person to want to install a CRX Si factory rear bar on a EF standard . . .
BTW, I know I'll have to drill holes in the LCA's to mount the endlinks, or replace the LCA's with CRX Si or Civic Si parts.

yea what I did was I used a hole saw and made a 3 inch hole and put a nut down in there so it would bolt to something

Oh crap, so the first layer you drill through from the bottom isn't the inside of the car???
Any chance you have (or can take) a picture of it? Is your car a 4th gen Civic hatch?
That would be great if you could. But, the one 3" diameter hole is big enough to get to both nuts to secure the bracket right? And is the 3" hole covered by the OEM interior panel or not?

I think DX chassis EF hatches are different than basic (ie no trim level at all).
I can't think that this saved Honda any money, making two different unibodies, one with nuts welded in and one without. WTF were they thinking???

92 - 95 eg sway bars do not work
94 + integra sway bars do not work.
I tried both for those years so i know for a fact. They hit the frame of the car

90-93 integra will work. how do i know? i installed them on my 88 crx. use the tow bar holes for the rear.
I end3ed up with an Si Sway bar I got for real cheap, took A little creativity but it works awesum and was cheap. Far better than no sway bar in back

I do not think drilling LCA would be best idea, getting the Si LCA would be.
I just need to spot weld the L bracket when I install my exhaust (i want to make sure it clear and wont hit each other).
right now, i scrape all the Noise dreadener from the sway bar, then paint it.

why would you not want to get an aftermarket antisway bar?
there are rear bars available for less than $150 and a stock SI and DX front bar bolts on with the LCA's that have an eye for it.
or look for used ones, i picked up my ST pair for $150.
by the time you modify the car, mounting points and the bar you will spend the same amount.
BTW, ST rear endlinks mount to the lower mounting point of the dampers. so there is no need for SI LCAs.
