I just got my DC JDM header, also I got the 2.5 hiflow cat, but do I need a flange to go with it?? If so, where can i get one? Thanx

 

What do you mean by "flange"? Your header should have a flange (at the output end) and your cat should have a similar flange. If your header is JDM - it won't have a 2.5" flange - it will be 60mm or so. You then would have to modify the flange on the cat to match.

 

so..what else do I need other then the header and the cat???
because the installer told me that I would need a flange to hook them up.

how much did u pay for your dc headers? I'm about to get headers myself..its down to JDM 4-1 or JDM DC 4-1. how much do u think your header weighs? I'm also curious as to what parts i would need for full installation of header and cat..

 

go to pep boys and take your header with you and find a flange there that looks the same. your exhaust shop will weld that onto the new cat.

or a decently equipped exhaust shop will be able to supply you with all the stuff.

you'll also need a donut gasket from an early '90s legend if you have a 2.5" collector header... honda has them.

or talk to smsp on this board for these parts...

I have an extra JDM hondaparts 2.5" donut gasket I'll part with cheap. E-mail me if you're interested ( g2guru@hotmail.com ). You will need the donut gasket and the 2.5" flange.

 

i have the flange for your DC headers... you will have to weld it onto your cat... i purchased it, but then later got a Carsound cat w/ another flange welded on already... so let me know... $70 d8168055@yahoo.com or vilo@conwaycorp.net

 

Did you get a weld in cat or a bolt in? Like Big Phat R said you should have everything you need.

 

I got a 2.5 cat but is a weld on I think, I do need the flange I guess.

 

What is the a 2.5 in. collector?

 

I sell any of the pieces you need to build a cat also for the do it yourselfer.

 

I got the same thing, you will need the donut gasket but i could not find a single muffler shope or auto parts store that had one big enough. Hopefully godspeed should send me back my *shortened* testpipe soon and i can finally try out this new header!

someone asked for price $364 for DC JDM 4-1 SS... from options auto i think..... but they're on back order everywhere i was told. I got mine dropshipped by DC and they told me they only had a few left.
