it all depends on the company doing your work. talk to people in your area that have had similar work done and what type of experience they had with the shop your considering. any legit shop should offer you some type of "warranty".

the quality of the install has nothing to do with the relaibilty of the motor. I don't know one person that doesn't experience what I call "Swap woes". But once those bugs are worked out there is no reason why it won't last.

expect the unexpected...

have a means of reliable transportation...

don't spend every cent, you'll always need some bolt or tool that you forgot...

as for reliabilty, a shop can't be responsible for the condition of the swap, only the installation...

Axles are a problem with h22 swaps. I had major problems and even after buying expensive dss axles I still have a minor vibration problem. Not worth changing an axle again but annoying.

thanks for the opinions...the shop does a lot of swaps and they say very few ppl come back with a prob with the motor...they can port and polish the motor to assure quality...plus i also like the fact that they have 2 Jap guys who run the shop...but i just think imma buy a new car next spring...3000GT/Stealth TT of course

I don't know who gave you these ideas and impression they were correct. P and P will not do anything to the quality of the motor. P and P will not remove miles from motor nor will it fix frozen motors. Nothing short of a complete overhaul can fix these problems. FYI just because two "Japs" (nice word choice ) run the shop doesn't mean they are knowledgeable. Do some research!

unless you personally know the previous owner of the motor you have no guarantee that it wil run.

it depends on the rep of the shop and check to see if they have performed any other swaps and then if they reccomend them then go for it

there's NOTHING worse than an un-informed D-bag like yourself getting on someone (who's offering you VALUABLE TRUE advise) else's ****.

P&P won't do crap... niether will the contry of origin of the owners of the shop..

You're a ********.

The engine will be as reliable as it IS... the install won't change that for ****.

My buddy swapped 3 b20's into a customer's car before they got one that wasn't sooo shot that it blew within a week.

3000GT's are about the shittiest car you could get... they're heavy under-powered handled like crap brand new and basically suck.. they break down, rust, and don't maintain their resale value's for ****. They were a midlife crisis car for dudes who couldn't really afford or handle a midlife crisis car.

They also suck to work on.

But hey. To each his own.

And we only rip apart those who respond like an *** to people trying to help...

Someone tried to warn you that if a shop says:

<TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote, originally posted by 93JDMHONDA &raquo;</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">they can port and polish the motor to assure quality</TD></TR></TABLE>

That shop is a bunch of retards... P&P won't "assure quality" of an imported SALVAGE motor. If the seals are bad if the rings are shot if it burns or leaks oil... if it was stored out doors and there's a gal of water in the engine... WTF is a P&P going to do to help?

And I'm sure the whole
<TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote, originally posted by 93JDMHONDA &raquo;</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">
...plus i also like the fact that they have 2 Jap guys who run the shop</TD></TR></TABLE>
bit didn't help any either... "Jap" isn't exactly a nice term.

He didn't even lay into you either... and you respond with...

<TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote, originally posted by 93JDMHONDA &raquo;</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">Alright thanks *******</TD></TR></TABLE>

You are a dick... it's pretty clear. and you don't know **** about cars either.
