Better? Depends what you like...
I prefer all motor, some prefer turbo. Better is defined by the end user...

For starters a turbo can impact the long life of your engine, of course, this also can apply to any major n/a improvement to the engine.

Turbo lag - a turboed car that makes 205 to the wheels will always have that bit of lag that may allow a similarly powered n/a car to get by them.

I'm sure more knowledgeable people than myself can add a few more reasons...

I'm a suspension freak. I'll take Mugen Lowdown coilover over cams. Also, I would rather spend my money on gearing + flywheel set than headers, etc. Of course, once gearing and suspension is done, it's off to sway bars, gutting the car and then I/H/E + cams.

V-tech makes phones no?

I won't go turbo because I want to stay NA as well.

-Aoib0t, who doesn't want to go Turbo. Cause it will kick him out of his AUtoX class.

Turbos are not the be-all and end-all of engine design. They DO have disadvantages namely turbo lag and over-heating of the engine compartment and resultant stress on other engine components. Front wheel drive cars are traction limited to begin with - and introducing huge amounts of power through the front wheels (that also do the steering) becomes problematic in terms of balancing this power with other systems in the car i.e. cooling, braking power, traction, handling etc. Some here think that forced induction also goes away from the original design premise of the Type R.
