spoon
Spoon is a japanese auto tuner that mostly tunes Hondas and Hondas only. Spoon has been known to build Honda engines capable of revving to 12-13000 RPMS and are also well known for suspension tuning as well. Names like Spoon and Mugen are well known in autocrossing/road racing industry.
And to add, I believe Spoon Sports took inspiration for the company name from this corner of the Suzuka circuit (http://www.suzukacircuit.com/):

They do? Not that I know of. Maybe in video games or something
You'd have to have some sort of insane custom cams to go that high. Toda VTEC killers don't go over 11,000 or so, and they're the most aggressive cams I can think of.
The Spoon cars I've seen don't rev much higher than a stock Honda engine.

They build street bike engines to rev like that what makes you think they can't do it to a car. Honda car engines are just the bigger version of the street bike engine so its highly possible and I've seen these cars in older Japanese racing magazines my buddy got. Just because you don't see some ******* spoon wannabe with a motor thats revving up to 13 grand and you can't find the parts to make it rev that high does not mean it can't be done. And as for the spoon insignia, I always thought it looked like a windy road going over a mountain pass.

They do indeed......(Temple of VTEC visits Spoon article..)
Then, sometime last year, HOT VERSION featured a Spoon tuned EK9 Civic Type-R that had a unique Spoon developed 'crank brace'. The video showed how the brace is similar to that on the F20C on the S2000 and how it allowed the B16B that was equipped with this brace (and the appropriate oil pan) to rev to an unbelieveable 12,000rpm ! That video have a very lasting effect on me. To me, the eptimode of the all-time super-modified Honda engine will be one that can rev to the magic 10,000rpm figure and beyond and this was the first one I have seen to do that.
And the Spoon Crane is because the japanese symbol for crane is Tatsuru (or extremely close) so he chose it for their logo.
