Default 6gen h22 accord supercharged

looking into supercharging my 6 gen accord with jdm h22 swap. i do not want to go turbo for my own reasons. has anyone heard or know of any people that have done it? my main concern if fitment along the firewall. i'm looking into purchasing a JRSC soon, but would like to know of any possible complications before getting started.

I believe you might be the first to do this.

I seen it a JR supercharger on a 6 gen accord with a h22 swap at the NOPI nationals about 3 years ago. The owner said that he had to cut the firewall to make is fit.

there was once a guy on this board awhile back who claimed to have done it but...he's no where to be found now. the JRSC will run me aprox. $1700 for the basic kit. i don't mind fabercating but, it would help to know "what" ahead of time (hehe). right now my car runs mid 14s. i want 13s so bad i can taste it. i'll settle for a 13.99 (lol). turbo and nos are out of the question...i've installled a few supercharges and just love the sound and instant power! if cutting the firewall is all i have as an obsticle, it would be worth it. if anyone can find more info keep me posted. i'll be performing the install this spring.

in addition to cutting hte firewall you may have to build a custom pulley system to clear the driver side strut tower as well.

with some work of course...head decked .030 and P&P. 15" rota's/azenis, gutted interior (not to mention it's an lx coupe, no abs-sunroof-pwr seats-blah-blah). altho i will say, with full interior it only raised up .10 sec, weird. it must have been the wind blowing in my direction that day....

all of my buddies have tegs and civics, and still can't believe it. accords are indeed heavy, but not torque-less ponies. what all do you have done to yours?

definitely, do the head work. i personally would say it was worth it. i never thought the power (overall) would be this great.

ps. can't wait to get my official track time.

I saw that guy at Nopi a few years ago and it was done pretty well. He had cut a hole in the firewall and moved it back a few inches and had it all repainted silver to match the car. Then the next year when i saw him he had switched it to a turbo setup because he could make more power with the turbo. i am not sure if i have any pics.

wuz it nopi 2002? i believe i saw that same accord. 01-02 silver coupe with c5 racing harts? i was in line and he made it a point to rev and **** off his b/o valve. i took sum pix of it, sweet. i like turdo's but, on my vehicle i rather have a supercharger. the install couldn't be worse than the 2-2. once complete i'll post the results.

Hey, there is a guy that I know that has that accord. Silver, 6th gen. with the c5's. You guys are correct. It used to be supercharged and now it's turbocharged. I know that he had to cut the firewall. Not sure of any other fabrication that was done.

He runs a shop here in Savannah called Audio Works, his name is Jeremy if you have any questions about the install, I'm sure he wouldn't mind answering them.

His number at the shop is 912-354-2502 and ask for Jeremy.

currently my car is turbocharged with f23 engine. I was even doubtful i would break into the 14's, there's a little bit more hope. I haven't gotten dyno'd yet, but after aem ems and a bigger exhaust i'd like to.

I do have a heavy EX sedan though

the firewall will need to be cut, and a bracket made. almost every h22 that has gone sc has changed to turbo. so sc h22 but its your choice

I don't suppose the jrsc could fit on the f23? With of course the cutting of the firewall and the pulley bracket needing fabricated.

i get that all the time...

<TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote, originally posted by WillsH22Accord &raquo;</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">the firewall will need to be cut, and a bracket made. almost every h22 that has gone sc has changed to turbo. so sc h22 but its your choice</TD></TR></TABLE>

i know...seems the more i research there's always a fork in the road. i even went to import review and the dyno's charts were close...an 8-9psi sc put out roughly 254whp/212ftlbs tq. w/ hondata tuned, while the same amount with a turbo puts down 254whp/190ftlbs tq to the ground! altho, they didn't say if the turbo'd car had hondata or any mods but, sc's seem to be just as powerful...more reliable...thanx for your input tho.

I hope you will go through with this. Let us know how everything works out.

Cutting the firewall...are there any drawbacks?
