just a couple internal part questions about the b16 comparing the b18c

ill have to get a new motor this spring(probly a b16a SIRII from hmotors), any ways the route i was gonna follow was the good old b16 turbo route. b16 for the super high revvs and the turbo 2 make some torque but people been tryin to scare me out of it, so i figured u guys would know better than anybody if this motor is reliable.
-first off ive noticed how people praise the oil squirters of the b18c1/5 , do the b16s have then or wats the deal?
-next why is the redline of the b16b so much higher than the b16a's, all valverain or is the bottom end different too?
-if i drop the c.r. to 9:1 and run 12psi ill get 16.3:1 effective comp ratio, will the stock crankshaft hold up?
-wat the hell is an AFC?
