Default I knew there was a reason I didnt drive the R in the snow

Was at a stop sign when an lady in an Expedition decided she would be able to stop on a dime, then had the nerve to get out the car with a smile saying" a little slippery out side huh", well lets just say I was tempted to run her over in her Expedition.
Also the damage you see all happened with that, any ideas on about how much it should cost to fix?

I don't know, but as long as her insurance is paying for it, then I wouldn't care.

I hope you got all her info. if that rear quarter panel is bent up thats gonna be a pretty hefty repair bill.

other pics arent working because you screwed up the brackets and URL.

suxors.

shall we take bets on the repair bill? looks like quarterpanel, taillight, and panel underneath taillight. it doesn't look like damage to hatch or bumper. hmmm, i'd guess $3500 to fix.

Wow, I hope the hatch isn't bent... if so, you're looking at easily $3,500+ in repair (hatch, rear qt panel, rear bumper, respray, etc.)

well the bumper is deff. gone a hole where it hit the back brace exists just didnt want to have to blank out my plates, the inside where all the plastic is has a huge crack across it, and where the weather stripping is where the hatch comes in contact is buckled up.

I would say thats anywere from 1500-2000 for all the body work on your rear 1/4 panel and then the light and the metal piece just under the hatch that has the key hole... I really cant tell if you will need a new hatch doesnt really look like it but sorry to hear that ....

Now that I think about it, it should be a little more than $3000 to have everything replaced, not fixed. I had a very similar accident. I found a used rear bumper, opted out of the ITR decals, and then got the antenna, the rear washer fluid nozzle, the word Integra from each bumper, and the front licence plate mounting holes shaved. It cost $2800.

SUV owners often fail to realize that 4WD is sometimes good in the snow and ice- but doesn't do a damn thing for you when decelerating.

closest to a crash ive had in the R (other than backin up into a rusty no parking sign my first week driving stick) was when i was pulling into the parking lot (making a right)where i work and some old *** man is trying to make a left out through MY ingoing lane so i had to stop dead in traffic. a car in the lane to the left of me is cruising past me as old *** starts to pull out and BAM SLAM DAMN crunch. i was saved by 2 feet of open space if that.

i drive like a maniac on the street alot, but i cant bare the thought of somebody else being responsible for my cars destruction. i almost rear ended a mommmy in a mini van too, sweeps through 2 lanes while im tryin to make good time, accels and cuts in front of me, i wasnt pushin TOO hard oviously, and then the bitch slams her brakes. so i slam mine, and i was sure i hit her. i got out and looked at my car, my front bumper was a millimeter away from her. CUT ME OFF AND THE SLAM THE BRAKES AT A YELLOW LIGHT???

lots and lots of crazy drivers (crazier than me even) and even worse, more people who just dont know how to drive. they endanger our AARR's. im gonna bury my R in my backyard **** it.

oh by the way in case anyone cares i do have a beater! i am very prepared for owning the R. (and garage)

Can you get a closer pic of the hatch? From that angle, it looks f00ked. Which is a shame, because it will add at least $2k to the repair bill

Dood, that's $3700 at least. if you've ever done a rear quarter repair, you know how much work is envolved. I would say $5000 but then again I would tell them to drill out the factory welds and replace the entire quarter and tack it back in like they do in the factory, i would settle for nothing less.

I'm interested to see how they go about fixing it because it looks as though the entire rear-most section has been not only crunched but pushed into the hatch so its not a matter of pulling metal straight, but aligning an entire freekin' quarter, to do it right at least.

Take it to the best body shop and settle for nothing but the best repair. Drilling out the spot welds and replacing the panel is NOT out of the realm of possibility but will be quite costly. On a normal car - total it, obiously this car was limited production so its not like they can get one in good shape easily but maybe they'd opt for that instead? You'd be surprised at how many repairs seem minor on the surface until you try to fix them and realized you're SOL, heh.

Let us know.

Lol, creatures.

Sorry to hear about the R though, that looks expensive. You can see where the 1/4 panel is wrinkled above the rear wheel and "ITR" sticker on the side of the car. That's gonna cost a pretty penny to fix.
