If you have the money go Type-R.

why? just so you can say you have a type R?How about LS-vtec? it would be cheaper and possibly make more power for a fraction of the cost plus you can add bpu for the same price of an R, let alone finding an R engine.

Get a b18c5/r if you dont plan on any other mods besides bolt-ons. If you plan on boosting or building, go with the c1.

LSVtec wasnt part of the question but an Lsvtec build will put out more powwa then a R for the price of a GSR Swap.

buy the gsr swap and put that other 1600 bucks in aftermarket goodies for it. cams, valvetrain and pistons and your already going faster than that stock type r motor.

A crx w/ a gs-r vs. a crx w/ ITR motor...stock for stock. The gs-r would loose. I dont know what other people are thinking by saying gsr equipped crx's are quicker?

Assuming he knows how to build an engine. Shops rape you on labor prices for those kind of installs. But true, $1600 will make a b18c1 quicker.

i believe he means, a crx w/ gsr motor VS. a itr (integra type R). from what ive seen, crx w/gsr motor takes the itr

Tell me were you found a GSR swap for $2400 so I and you can get one each because I have not seen them they go for $3k. Check http://www.hmotorsonline.com/s...30009

Not only is it $3k but you also forget the fact that you will also have to buy the hydro to cable conversion kit for $500 from hasport to run the tranny.

If you can buy the GSR engine for $2k w/out tranny and then buy a b16 cable tranny seperate from someone for about $400 it would be cool. I would do it, since you got the hookup on the GSR well then go ahead and go with the GSR.
