Default A jetta at the strip

The drag season is comming up at a local strip, I have a "friend" that has been running his mouth all winter about how much he hates imports (he has a built 67 camero 350) and how even his 4 door automatic vr6 jetta could post better times then my GSR. Well know that I'm going to prove him wrong but just wanted to make sure before I put some money on it. His jetta is stock and all I've done is I/E, azenis and stripped down to 2450 lbs. So does anyone have an idea of what his jetta might run? Im thinking MAYBE high 15's....he has cheap all weather tires on it too...TIA

If you can drive you should be able to beat him no problem, I have a friend in a full stock weight teg with intake and exhaust that ran 14.9 @ 93mph, as for the Jetta if it's bone stock depending if it's the new 24v or the older 12v will probably run 15.3-15.9

you should be fine as long you dont screw up shifting or launching
